Quinta do Lago is an exclusive residential and golf estate bordering the Atlantic Ocean and the Ria Formosa Natural Park, which is one of the most prestigious areas of the Algarve. It has three award-winning golf courses, attracting golfers from all over the world, yet the resort has something for everyone, not least the beauty of the nature reserve itself.
Adjoining Quinta do Lago’s three world-class golf courses are facilities such as the Paul McGinley Golf Academy and Southern Europe’s only tailor-made performance centre. The resort has been at the forefront of international golf since its creation.
Set in rolling hills and pine woodlands, it is home to many rare species of flora and fauna and offers an excellent base for nature lovers to explore the two nearby nature trails.
A Blue Flag beach is easily reached via a wooden walkway over the Ria Formosa. With over two miles of soft, golden sand, the beach is extensive and magnificent, its spectacular sand-dunes a joy to behold.
Lifeguards are on duty during the summer season and many watersports are on offer. The beach has good facilities including sunbeds for hire and there's a nice selection of restaurants and cafes.
If neither golf nor watersports appeal to you, Quinta do Lago has many other sporting activities available including horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, tennis and deep water fishing. Then to chill out after a day’s exertion, there's a spa and wellness centre or you can while away an afternoon browsing the resort shops and boutiques. The resort even has an art gallery that frequently hosts a diverse line-up of art exhibitions.
Quinta do Lago is self-contained and all of its facilities can be accessed using the resort bus, which operates all the year round.
