We have negotiated very special car hire prices with Budget Car Rental. Unlike most other car hire suppliers this allows our clients to collect and return their cars directly to the airport terminal building, avoiding the necessity of catching a coach to an off airport depot. With a network of branches across Portugal and the Algarve they offer a first class service including delivery and pick up directly from your villa, if required.

The minimum age for hiring a car is 21 plus a full driving licence must have been held for two years. A fuel deposit will be taken by credit card or in cash on taking delivery of the car. This will be refunded if you return the car with the same amount of fuel as when you collected it.

Two drivers per car are free of charge. Additional drivers will be charged for locally at €25 per week.

All rates include: Unlimited mileage; CDW; theft protection and taxes.

€750 for groups A, B, C, D and O which can be waived upon payment of approximately €10 per day.
€1250 for groups E, F and O1 which can be waived upon payment of approximately €12 per day.
€1500 for groups G, G2, J, Q, X and Y which can be waived upon payment of approximately €15 per day.
€2500 for group H which cannot be waived.

Requests for baby seats or child booster seats should be made at the time of booking. These are charged at 25 Euros per week and are payable locally. Driving while under the influence of drink or drugs invalidates the car insurance, and speeding tickets, parking fines etc are the responsibility of the renter. It should be noted that the drink driving limits are lower than the UK. If the police stop you for any reason, you should always have proof of identity plus the car hire contract with you.
