Car Hire
All cars have CDW, theft protection, unlimited mileage and tax included. There is an insurance excess for each group as listed below, or you may choose to accept the risk, as you would do with your own car insurance policy.
£350 for groups A, B, C, D and W
£550 for groups E, F and I
£700 for groups G, GI, I, J, Q, X and L
£800 for group H
Excess waiver insurance will be offered to you at the time of collecting your hire car. Insurance excess waiver can be completely waived on payment of a local supplement (between 7 and 12 Euros per day, excluding group K). However, we are able to offer you an annual insurance policy specifically designed to cover car hire insurance excesses at just £49 per year. This covers you for multiple trips throughout Europe and can work out cheaper than paying the local charges on an average 14 day rental. It does mean, however, that in the event of damage to the car, you must pay the excess locally and claim on your return to the UK. Please note that in any event damage to wheels, tyres, locks, mirrors or the undercarriage of the vehicle is always the responsibility of the renter. We recommend clients take the excess waiver locally, however it is entirely optional. PAI (Personal Accident Insurance) is not included but if you have taken our insurance, it is unnecessary as you will be covered under this Policy.
